Art in the Afternoon Online - Grade K
Art in the Afternoon Online is a downsized version of the award-winning Arts Attack Online visual art curriculum. It is designed for those after school programs that do not have the time available to teach a full year’s curriculum, but wish to implement a cost-effective easy-to-teach, high-quality art program as an enrichment activity during the time that they do have available.
The Art in the Afternoon Online Grade K program is the ideal introduction to art for the Kindergarten student. Providing a strong introduction to the art fundamentals (the elements of art and basic techniques), it also places strong emphasis on drawing technique, self-expression, and diversity of both 2- and 3-dimensional media. Some of the lessons are based on children's literature, providing opportunity to connect with the language arts. Lessons such as A Tree is Nice, Butterfly and Cocoon, and Zoo Animals offer a simple connection to science. Artists studied include Pablo Picasso, Georgia O,Keeffe, and Vincent van Gogh and the students create an artwork in each of their styles.
The Grade K program includes 12 lessons, 3.3 hours of instructional video (shown to the students and featuring classroom demonstrations by other kindergarten students), a digital art image program with discussion guides, lesson plans, student drawing aids, teacher reference materials and much more. Being video-based, it can be taught by teachers or parents with little or no art or art education background, as well as by those with considerable art education training – achieving exceptional results in both cases.
As shown below, the per school pricing of Art in the Afternoon Online Grade K varies depending on the number of classrooms that will be using the program. Pricing for up to 3 Grade K classrooms per school or after school program is shown below. If your school or program has more than 3 Grade K classrooms, please contact us for a quote tailored to your specific requirements.
